During hot pressing, seeds are processed at temperatures between 120–200°C. The main advantage of hot pressing is a higher oil yield. High temperatures allow pressing oil from seeds without a hard shell (e.g., hulled sunflower seeds), as well as from more demanding materials like coconut flakes, which cannot be pressed at low temperatures.
The LY120 oil press is designed for extracting oil from oilseeds with over 15% oil content and moisture below 10%. With pressing temperatures up to 200°C, the machine achieves efficient oil extraction. Warm oil is also easier to filter, improving clarity and shelf life.
Oil extracted by screw presses contains fine particles from the pressed seeds. Filtration improves clarity, prolongs shelf life, and facilitates storage. Thanks to the integrated vacuum filters, oil obtained from this press is suitable for direct bottling.
Filtration efficiency depends on oil type and temperature.
Oil temperature during filtration should be at least 60°C.
VACUUM FILTER : Uses a vacuum pump to create negative pressure in the filter tank. Particles settle on the filter medium, forming a “filter cake.” This mechanical process does not change the oil’s structure and uses no chemicals.
